Cool, you have got it now. Well, did you cleared the dalvik cache and ext partion, before updating? I believe that helps in many ways. If problem still persist, try using the updater app. Finally if that still doesn't solve the issue give it a clean install. -

Jason why don't you try using the updater application? Its simple and easy, you can choose the 2.7.6 from the external card, from the optin "Select installation pack". -
