Hi guys, i need your help.
I have redmi 1s with v 36.0.0 of miui (by miui.it) and i have some problems.
The worst concern the keyboard, it disappears during the use and i have to wait some seconds to use it again, i tried to solve problem switching to swift key, but uselessly.
Another problem regards the ram that has less space available.
At the last "multitasking" window opens in random mode.
Say me if someone has the same problems or i'm the only.
Thanks

I am experiencing the same problems only keyboard does not fuss spear because Fleksy and is super light

thanks for the answer moonburster
it was partly solved with fleksy, is only ram problem?
but is not really good keypad for me, i prefer smiftkey or google keypad, is not there an other way to solve it?

No way. This is an old bug. Nobody in xiaomi team seems interested in solving this well documented bugs. They existe since v23 por v24

Sometimes it makes me feel sorry for having bought a xiaomi. But it helped me for future sales: no more miui for me.

Redmi séries are not important for the company. Its ridiculous but true.

Its funny how some you say, i know i bought i lower price phone BUT they CAN'T just abandon us. there is always a but, and it sounds silly.

I owned a redmi 1s, i knew what i was getting to. u can buy any other product at this price and believe me, u will have it worse. stop whinning.....

I have a redmi 1s and used to have the following problems:
1) Stock Browser just stopped working when opening a website
2) keyboard disappear
3) Sidebar (Glovebox) disappears
4) Battery percentage on status bar (Battery Alert) disppears

This made the phone really unusable!

Currently using xiaomi.eu_multi_armani_31.0.0 which give me root access.

This is what i have done to increase RAM

frozen lots of systems apps using App Quarantine
eg: settings, themes, xioami services framework, xioami sync, jinshan security guard, data usage
It has a widget too which allows you to toggle to freeze or unfreeze

Also go to security and turn off background access for apps
Replaced stock messaging with Textra
Replaced stock launcher with Squarehome - set launcher default to Squarehome
Replaced stock dialer with ExDialer
Replaced stock browser with Cheetah Mobile
Use Android firewall to prevent apps from accessing internet for ads
Also since I have no data plan but strictly using wifi access - I have blocked all access to data (3G) for apps

currently on bootup I can have 58% and sometimes 59% free out of 1gb RAM
This later drops to 54%
I can run about 4 to 5 apps eg: browser, email, textra, play store and multitask between them.
RAM will drop to 20 - 30% during use and but far no problems like mentioned above (1,2,3,4)
Once I quit apps the RAM will go back up to around 38 - 45% free and stay that way even
when not doing anything.

I feel my phone is now usable and hope this helps.

I dont think Textra and ExDialer works with Dual-Sim.

I installed App Quarantine, disabled background access for apps and it really helps, thank you!

The real problem is the MIUI Launcher, isnt it ?

I only use one sim card and textra and ex dialer seems OK - I can send receive SMS and calls.
Quite a few apps use up a lot of ram. These are some of my frozen apps...
Settings
Data usage
Mi launcher
Themes
