Installing MIUI v6 on Xiaomi Mi2 (coming from MIUI v5)

Hi guys,

I'm trying to install MIUI v6 (5.1.23) on my Mi2 (to replace 4.9.6 version), but when I reboot after the "successful" installation it brings me to the recovery mode. No matter if I installed it via updater or via recovery.

Now I'm installing the latest Aries v5 (4.12.5) on both partitions to see if it will make any difference to go from the latest v5. But perhaps I'm missing some step or known issue. So any thoughts anyone please? Wipe is the last option for me (therefore installing the beta image as well).

Good news, everybody! Having the newest v5 installed before installing the v6 worked
