  • - From my currently running version (5.11.12) , can i update directly to this version without any wipe ?
  • (or i have to...)
  • - First update to 5.11.19/20 version, to merge partition and so on.... and then i update directly to this update ? (if yes! Will it erase my data?)

Have you already extended data partition? (5.4.24)
If you are not sure, first install terminal emulator, run df command and post screenshot here. Next step depends on the result...

You have not merged data and merged system yet. In this case first you have to flash latest Chinese fastboot ROM via MiFlash with flash all option. This install method will merge Data+Storage and System1+System2 partitions (it is required to install further updates), after that you can install latest xiaomi.eu aries ROM via updater app, furthermore you will be safe to install any further xiaomi.eu aries release simply via updater app or OTA

All you need:

Latest fastboot aries china dev ROM: http://obigota.d.miui.com/6.1.28/aries_images_6.1.28_20160125.0000.13_5.0_cn_b0354b61c4.tgz
Latest MiFlash tool: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx5Fv74n-TBpbnFsbTBpczNWX1U
Latest xiaomi.eu multi aries dev ROM: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24391638059058397

I have a very annoying bug with headset mic.. After update to MM my headset mic not working when i dail or recive calls.. Is working fine on Skype etc.. Just when i wanna take calls iis not working!! Any other experience this?

Hey there,
The method that you suggest me to do will erase all of my personal app and app data :(
Only question now is....There's any easy method to do a restore of my personal data and apps after all of those updates?

yeah, ofc it will wipe everything from your phone including internal storage as well. If you want to install further updates it is unavoidable.

In my case the most important data such as contacts, calendar, photos all synced with google. To get back these data I just need to logged in to google account on newly installed clean system.
Anyway you can use MIUI local backup&restore or MiCloud backup device, but as I know MiCloud method can't backup data for apps

I am on 6.1.21 in my redmi note 2 prime. For a long time, I have been unable to make backups of my phone due to the app get stuck when doing the backup of certain apps, can you help me to fix this issue?

I wanted to ask a question to the experts I own the mi4c, I can upgrade from stable multi 7.1.4.0 to 7.1.6.0 doing that only wipe cache & delvik by installing TWRP or you need to wipe data? Thanks

I have a question about cancro marshmallow rom and miui marshmallow roms in general.

Marshmallow android is supposed to have full device encryption enabled by default, is this the case for miui marshmallow roms and new cancro marshmallow rom?
