IMHO if they don't upgrade android version to android 5.1.1 or maybe 6.0.2 we won't see very interesting innovation, expecially about battery life. I'm talking about RN3

For my RN2, 6.1.29 is the best ROM so far. I have no problems at all and battery is very good. I will probably skip many weeklys until one comes along that will actually be better than 6.1.29!
