Hello! I bought a Mi 4c about 7 months ago, and I recently ran into some problems with it, mostly beacuse of careless use (like letting it go on 0% battery, my fault). I probably fried the fastcharge, since it does not charge with anything over 5V/1A, and after a few weeks it just tried to reboot in my hand while I was sending a message. Since then it refuses to turn on, (just the MI logo appears and sits like that for days) and it doesn't get recognised by MI suite, or even PC. Neither the charging LED flash or anything. It is a 2gb/16gb version, and I wonder if it is possible to get a 3gb/32gb mainboard and use that instead, since I really don't want/have the money tho spend on a new phone. Thanks in advance for all the replies.

I would try to charge it with low power on pc usb port while device is switched off for one day or two. I had this situation after trying to flash a different software (miui pro). Device was showing mi logo only and could not be switched off until battery runs out. One day i was able to connect it to mi flash and managed to install standard china dev rom.

Leave it connected to a PC via USB...after 24/36 hours..... connect it to the wall charger...I had this happen as well...this method worked for me.....

That is the issue, really. It is not the first time it happens. I have tried that like 4 times now since the last time it broke down, and doesn't seem to want to do anything. The charging LED flashes for 5 minutes and then dies. I really think its dead and I either need a new mainboard or a new phone.

As last try i would disconnect the battery for a few minutes from mainboard and reconnect again. I heard that in some cases the phone is in bootloop and the low charge of first minutes is directly eaten by boot attempt and phone stops charging. Then In case of battery change you are already trained although its easy.
