Dear community,

I tried to update my eu.miui 10 via the updater app. The app showed me that there is a new version but when I click on download it said something like "you already have the latest version" (which I don't but I read that the OTA does not work well always).

So I tried update via fastboot but I cant boot to TWRP for unknown reasons.

That's why I thought if I can try to update via the "choose update package" option within the updater app?
Like downloading the latest package, copy it to the phone and then choose it in the updater app.
I would just like to know if it's safe to use that method or if I can brick the device or loose data when I use this way?

thanks and kind regards,

Thank you two for your replies.

@iamme729 I once installed twrp but I can't boot it, for unknown reasons. Maybe I have to try to install twrp again.
I'm curious, can you explain me why I still need twrp when I try it via the "choose update package" from the Updater app?

Maybe it's not clear but I already have installed Xiaomi EU and I just want to update it. Or is it the same?

Had to install a different twrp version than the one from the ROM download site here. But yeah, it worked :)
Thanks again
