    You could just join the wires, but I don't think that's worth of it. The original charger costs less than 2€, so better buy it.

    Did you read last paragraph? It only works on MIUI6 5.4.24 or higher. If you install any other ROM, partitions won't get touched, but they won't work because when trying to mount partitions that don't exist they'll fail.

    Xiaomi has released a way to have unified storage on mi2(s): en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=107586&extra=page%3D1&mobile=2 I haven't tested it because it only works on MIUI6 5.4.24 or higher, and I'm not gonna move from CM11 until lollipop gets stable, but I post it here just in case...
