I think this is a limitation built into MIUI on Android 5.x and it's not only deleting photos but all kind of files.

With .eu ROMs I always had issues that the bootloader locked again after flashing so I had to unlock. This ROM is vietnamese made, but covers all eu languages, has no chinese apps and no issues I know of. Just some international languages like Bahasa Indonesia are not covered.

But in the Redmi 3 forum section there is a thread with all Redmi 3S infos...

Just use MiFlashUnlock again...

I had a TWRP backup made just before starting the first MIUI 8 upgrade, so I just restored it - well first I made a Titanium Backup of all apps, copied it to my laptop, then made the restore, deleted the old Titanium Backup and copied the new one to the phone. After booting it was just running...

Just plug your phone to the computer, switch to fastboot mode even if it dissappears afterwards and start MiUnlock and try to unlock the phone. On a lot of tries with Xiaomi.eu ROMs I had the bootloader relocking itself and preventing booting.

My impression is that I have a higher battery consumption (around 30%) and less performance. 1.7 GB RAM I can't confirm: Antutu gives me 27.9k as maximum vs. 38.3k on MIUI 7

The eu in xiaomi.eu stand for Europe and there are not too many people speaking Bahasa Indonesia in Europe... Selamat malam...

May be you should try an official ROM, as there is no official Global ROM until now. So Chinese/English to try if the increments are better in this. My ROM is a 6.5.12 and has 1/7 incements...

There are a lot of guides around, just google for it...

I'm not sure about global DEV ROM, so better use CN DEV, as this will work for sure. Don't mess around with other ROM as this might lead to bricking your phone and you only need this ROM for unlocking. If you are on an official ROM flashing via updater app should work but have MiFlash at hand in...
