You can only enable this option if you phone is also encrypted at "Settings -> Passwords & security -> Privacy -> Encryption & credentials -> Encrypt phone".

This option will only appear if the phone is not encrypted.

That's why i wrote that it doesn't work anymore on Max 3.

This has nothing to do with TWRP. The encryption feature in Android itself doesn't work anymore on Android 10 with Max 3. "Settings -> Passwords & security -> Privacy -> Encryption & credentials -> Encrypt phone".

It has nothing to do with the recovery because 9.12.5 is also not working. Since Android 10 this open in broken in Max 3.

The Phone Encryption option still doesn't work for Max 3 in "Settings -> Passwords & security -> Privacy -> Encryption & credentials -> Encrypt phone".

You can disable it in the App Menage.

That is interesting. So we have different scenarios on different devices. I hope this setting can be fixed for everyone. :(

AES Software Encryption is slow. But now all SmartPhones have Hardware AES Encryption. Even 4 years ago you couldn't see a big difference with the Hardware AES Encryption. And today with even better Hardware AES Encryption you will see even less of a difference.

I already tried everything, it has nothing to do with TWRP. Fact is that an Android option (encryption) that always worked in the Android 9 EU Rom doesn't work anymore in the Android 10 EU Rom.

Some peaple don't want to be on pornhub if the loss their phone. The data partition dose not need to be unencrypted with a custom Rom. I had my Max 3 phone encrypted all the time on the Android 9 EU Rom's via the via the Android encryption setting.

The EU ROM doesn't encrypt the phone by default like the Global ROM dose. That's why you have to encrypt via settings in Android.

The latest Max 3 (Nitrogen) EU Rom comes bundled with the the latest TWRP 3.3.1 from wzsx150. And this is an Android 10 settings problem and has nothing to do with TWRP.
