Thanks! I followed the guide and it worked. Only difference was my TWRP boot was in Chinese for some reason. Thankfully the picture guide showed me what to tap based on location lol.

Is there any way to remove the "Floating Windows" button from the Recent Apps at the topleft? As well, is there any way I can disable Cast system app or remove the "Mi Smart Hub" button that takes up half my screen when I open the quick settings menu (swipe down) in landscape mode?
