I ended up solving it myself. If anyone is reading this and gets this error look for "updater-script" and edit it with the appropriate program, then remove the first two lines that have "get prop" in the line. Add updater script back to zip and then follow all steps to reflash rom in recovery...

this is exactly what happens every time I try to update. To me, it looks as though the rom is not configured for the EXACT IM-A850L device, but maybe instead a variant. For example there are A850L..K...and S *please mods read this and reply* thanks
