Same problem here, MI5 with miui 8.1, all google apps up-to-date and using nova launcher, if that matters.

Hey! I got a better score after upgrading to latest EU stable (~128 000) @ stevedat: it's not that important indeed, but it gives a visual representation of the capacity of the phone. If with a rom version it's lower than with a previous one, it can be the sign of some bugs.

The "Battery saver" in security app is disabled, if this is what you are thinking of.

Whatever the version I'm using (tried before and after miui8 update), i can't get a score over 100000 :/ (mi5 64gb) I suppose that a full wipe would solve this, but I don't want to reinstall all apps for now, this phone is still reeeeaaaaally fast :D

Best way is to do a full wipe and flash it from TWRP.
