Wow. So, you first asked about it, and since there was no solution (at that time), you made it! Awesome. I just received a JP Mi 11 Lite 5G, and am trying to put EU rom onto it, and am now trying to follow these instructions myself. Thanks for creating it!

Would it be possible to just copy/move the phone.apk from EU rom over to re-enable this function in the global rom?

I'm still quite new to this; but, does it matter if the rom is Android P or Q? Or will this kernel work regardless? Are you able to provide more information on what exactly the problem is with the replacement screens? Which driver files are causing problems, and what were they replaced with?
