Tomtom Go App Stops Loading

Hi folks,
The TomTom GO app cannot start on my mobile, just the loading icon spins forever.
I used this app on my mobile for many months without any problem.
App restart does not help.
App cache cleaning does not help.
Telephone restart does not help.
If I fully reinstall the app, it can start a few times, but after the same problem returns.
Recently I upgraded the ROM to MIUI by xiaomi.eu 7.5.3.0 Stable version and replaced my 8 GB microCD card with a 32 GB Samsung microCD card.
Many other apps works perfectly, including other navigation apps, GPS seems to be fine also.
Please help!

I managed to find out what caused the problem.
The MIUI's own backup program that can be started here:
Settings / Additional Settings / Backup & Reset / Local Backups
The backup app deletes the directory where TomTom stores its downloaded maps:
CDcard1 / Android / data / com.tomtom.gplay.navapp
After the backup completed, Tomtom cannot start just shows the startup screen.
If I restore this directory from an other copy, TomTom can start again without any problem.
Have you met with this issue?
How can I prevent this problem?

I had to turn off the local back up. I use Navmii as my sat nav and every time miui did a local back up it would delete my downloaded maps!!
