Hi,

So i was having some issues with the CN version my phone came with, and i had a locked bootloader.

i ended up installing this:

SP FLASHTOOL ROM
MIUI7-5.0.2 V.7.2.3.0 Stable, Multilanguage
for Locked and unlocked Bootloaders

following this guide:

http://en.miui.com/thread-226417-1-1.html

I currently have an aproval for unlocking the bootloader, but on the unlock tool, i get the message "current account is different from the account info on the device" , even though i have checked and its pretty much correct.

I found a russian post that says that you need to download a certain ROM version here: http://en.miui.com/thread-226193-1-1.html

But as it stands, i am unsure what i should do, as i have a wonky rom installed.

Any help would be appreciated

Edit: I tried updating to the latest Chinese Stable Rom, through the update app, that was originally on the phone, and it said it "couldn't verify update package"

With China DEV or Global DEV you can use the unlock tool. With the uncorrect version of the rom you get the message you get now. Just flash the correct rom from here: en.miui com /download-301.html following the flashing guide they gave there.

Still can't post links already, but the above link (after recompiling it yourself) sends you to the official global/chinese roms on en.miui.com

Thank you, i have a couple already downloaded. Was waitting for weekend to have time to fix it if something went wrong.

Followup, my phone came with chinese rom, can i flash global rom, or does it have to be china?

you need to flash a dev rom and then login from developer options to your mi account you will see there bootloader options in your phone. you will also need to ask xiaomi for bootloader unlocking permision
