Mi4s Update To Miui8

Dear all,

I´m looking for your help, bcs I have absolutely no idea how to go on...
At the moment I´m using my Mi4S with Ver7.4 (6.4.28), and so far I´m quite happy with it.

But I´d like to try the actual version miui 8 / android 7.
I think I have a locked bootloader, or at least I didn´t aks for some unlock code or sth like this.

How can I do the upgrade to the actual version? It would be great if someone could post a link to a tutorial or something like this.

Or as an alternative - which version would you recommend?

Do you have a original ROM? Into settings, about the phone , you don't have updates?

Ok, it's really simple to update, if you want stable ROM of this link,

At the moment there is no more because they are with Android 7.0. If you have twrp and you are going to put miui 8, you have to update the twrp first

and then once updated, put inside the phone the ROM you have chosen, and from the recovery you are going to clean advanced, you do wipe cache / dalvik, system and data , You lose the applications, but it is recommended because you change base. You can make a backup but I recommend you just restore the apps.

You can also use another method, you put the ROM inside the phone, in a folder that you think called Download_rom, then you go to settings, about the phone, and above in the three points click on select package, you look for the ROM and ready
