Hello everyone.

Last night I received my Note 4X, I unlocked its bootloader and flashed TWRP (3.0.2 that you provide). I downloaded the latest MIUI EU but it won't flash properly, apparently a partition is missing. It boots up but the UI crashes as soon as it boots and I can't even setup the device.

I also tried the previous EU build but no luck either (same error).
Sideloading (from TWRP) latest official stable had exactly the same result...

I did take a nandroid backup but that very partition shows as empty...

Please help!!

I was able to revert my 4X to stock by flashing the official fastboot global image

mido_global_images_V8.1.10.0.MCFMIDI

(available at http://en.miui.com/a-234.html).

I'm still facing the same issue when flashing MIUI EU.

Thank you

Same error on my 4X. I flashed the global for the note 4 snapdragon and it works, but i prefer the eu...

We are in the same boat, then.

Please advise should you find a solution. I'll do the same.

Thank you

I also tried another TWRP (3.0.3 I found on XDA) and the EU ROM flashed fine with no errors, however the same FC happens after boot. I'll try the new 02/24 release. I had very weird restore issue: I flashed the very same latest global stable I restored the first time but it would not flash (image and device mismatch), I had to delete the device check from the restore factory sh file in order to flash it.

Gracias (Thank you in Spanish) canijito (little dog in Spanish, isn't it?)

7.02.24 was released today for the 4X, I flashed it with TWRP from this website and I had the same force close as before.

I'm downloading the fastboot image of the 07.02.24 China dev, which I will flash manually without using Mi Flash and I'll try to flash the eu ROM after that. I'll report if it works.

Bye

I'm quite sure I found the solution.

As the EU ROM is based off Android 7, I'm quite sure it will work like a charm once I restore the China Dev based off Android 7.

This is because there are two variants of the same 7.02.24:

Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm (Android 7.0)
Fastboot 1720M

Recovery 1350M

Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm (Android 6.0)
Fastboot 1905M

Recovery 1537M

Happy flashing to everyone!

Ooh i have Redmi Note 4X and the same problem...
So if i want to install Eu Rom i have to flash "miui_HMNote4XGlobal_7.2.24_3a348895b3_7.0.zip" first then install EU Rom after, right??? :)

Unfortunately that did not work either, same force close issue as before...
Please try the Android 6 version i linked above, I'm at work and I can't try it until tonight.

Thank you

Noo, jajaj, canijito in Spanish is a thin person ....... when I get the device I will try the roms

Here I am again.

I think I finally solved my issue.

The 7.02.24 China dev contains several .bat and .sh files.
Turns out the factory.sh DOES NOT CONTAIN FASTBOOT COMMAND TO FLASH CUST PARTITION, which was always missing when flashing MIUI EU.

Using flash all.sh instead of factory.sh should fix my "issue".

EDIT: NO, IT DIDN'T WORK!

Maybe the China "4X" and India "MIDO" are in fact different even though they look like they pack the same hardware?

Therefore the Xiaomi.eu maybe based on the "MIDO" and not backwards compatible to "4X"

Thank you for your suggestion, however, I would love you to be right but as you can see from this link:

http://en.miui.com/download-321.html

relevant download section of the MIUI site, they are the same device: just try to start a download and you will see it for yourself.

Please anyone, HELP!!

Agreed, though it does pose the question why they use different device models in the filenames??? If they functionally the same.

It does but that at the same time that applies to every device.

For example Redmi 4 Pro is markw, Mi Mix is lithium and so on...

At least it's not me...

I'm sorry to report I haven't found a solution yet.

As I don't like the Chinese MIUI, I'm running Resurrection Remix based on 7.1.1.

Thank you

To see if tomorrow is solved with the update, we are still the same, ..... a question, what version of twrp are you using for flash? Thanks

In all honesty I'm losing hope...I'm running Resurrection Remix now, which works wonders.

I've tried with several TWRP versions: "Official" EU one, 3.0.3 from cofface I found on XDA and even the one from MIUI IT.

The same problem not able to flash to EU ROM
Can't verify update.
Tried with recovery UPDATE but phone wants to connect to PC suite, PC suites won't find the phone ;)

Hello and thank you for sharing.

Is this the first time you try to flash the EU?

I think you can only flash unofficial MIUI versions with TWRP. AS the EU is not signed by Xiaomi, the file won't pass the verification step.
