Smartphone Doesn't Detect 5ghz Wifi ?

Hey everybody,
this morning i've bought a Xiaomi Mi WiFi Router 3 that has Dual Band: 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
The problem is that my smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 PRO, doesn't recognize it at 5ghz, only 2.4Ghz.
My iPad is connected with 5Ghz without any problem.

I'm currently on MIUI 8 Stable by Xiaomi.eu

Someone of you can help me? Thanks.

Set your router to a fixed 5 ghz channel, like channel 36 or 40.
