Hi,
Gps is not working properly.
Signal is weak... I've used google maps and waze and both have same issue.
Every 30 seconds GPS loose the signal and position.
Are you facing same issue?

Thanks for the answers but your phone is Mi5s while I have Mi 5s Plus.
Are any user of Mi5s Plus with GPS issue?

I have also a cheaper phone (samsung galaxy a3 2016) that works much better than mis5s plus.
Mi5s Plus loose the signal and position and see less satellite than galaxy a3.
Below screenshot from two devices.

Well ive noticed on my mi5s plus 128gb that the GPS is not 100% acurate, ive only noticed the issue using pokemon or ingress. I have not really tried any real navigation, i have google maps, sygic, waze i will give them a try and see.

My issue is mostly down to connection time and 100% correct position, the position moves alot around on different areas, like a radius of 1km which is really bad.

nevermind, seems that my gps is much better with version 6.12.8, 20 out of 20 satelites under less than 10 seconds.
im about to upgrade to latest weekly, 6.12.22.

Im guessing my issues have been solved by sw update.

I have the same issue on the same phone.

I'm on the 6.12.8 too. The problem was not present before.

I've updated to 6.12.22, issue still remain.
I've read that smartphones with Nougat and snapdragon 821 are able to receive signal from Galileo.
But I guess It takes some months to receive this update.

You guys really set the GPS to high accuracy?
My mi5s plus 128GB gets between 10-16 satellites with version 6.12.22.

Pressing on GPS only gives me battery saver or device only. If I also turn off GPS using quick tiles it goes over to battery saver. I consider this being a bug compared to other devices from xiaomi that turn off GPS and turns on GPS using tiles to latest used mode.

2 pictures uploaded v. 08 had more satelitws than V.22 but less signal.

Hi,
GPS is setting on High accurancy.
If I turn off GPS using quick tiles GPS goes over to battery saver.
And then If I turn on GPS using quick tiles GPS goes to High accurancy.

I wonder if it's a software issue.
Before switching to xiaomi.eu ROM I didn't remember this GPS issue.
I'll do a test installing Golbal Developer ROM in the next days.
I'll let you know the results.

Hi, if you have a GPS problem (loosing signal) try to switch off mobile data during the navigation. If it works properly it is a known Android's problem that in combination with some carriers cause it.
I found a workaround after over 2 months of research on forums, if interested I can explain it.
