So I bricked my phone trying to install a new battery that's why I had to install china stable rom via fastboot.Now my phone is locked again although I can go to fastboot & built in recovery.I had my phone unlocked before the brick but still when I try to enable unlock bootloader from developer options it gives an error 86012 saying can't add device also my cloud acc shows no device connected. What am I supposed to do in this situation?

You probably used option "clean and lock " reflashing fastboot firmware. Now you have to unlock device again, usually not a problem. You have to give a little more information about phone, which one, Is error about phone association with your MI account? If it is you have to try associate it trough VPN china srever. If you were able to unlock it before then second time is evne easier
