seems the double sms problem is related to lpq firmware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559141 the gosms team seems to have fixed it but dont know how.

Will the next miui v4 update of SGS2 be based on LPQ firmware or a firmware newer ?

I had that problem (status 7 error), I fixed it by flashing a stock 2.3.5 samsung rom with odin, then flashing the NEAK kernel (to have cwm) with odin, and then factory reseted./ wipe cache/dalvic cache and finally flashed miui.
