I wish I could, there is no Mi phone with a minimum 8/256GB configuration in Germany. Samsung and Huawei deliver, but unfortunately not Xiaomi. Being a photography enthusiast I just want a 8/256GB+ configuration if the phone has a good camera.

It was possible to use the global ROM with a locked boot loader at first. Only when Xiaomi changed their update policy it became impossible, because it bricked the phone.

Just a thought, sometimes I think Xiaomi is not interested in fixing some of the issues, especially if "non-global devices" running global ROMs are affected. IMHO Xiaomi's first decisive move in this direction was the change in their update policy last year, preventing re-locking the bootloader...
