You should backup your internal storage as well (photos etc) just in case you're stuck having to format. I'd imagine most responses are going to be just to format anyway in order to prevent other issues.

You probably can still root, but you have to add the banking app to the deny list in Magisk and hide Magisk Manager under a different package name. Both settings are in the Magisk Manager app. You may also need the SafetyNetFix from KDrag0n. You can Google that. Doing this makes Samsung Pay work...

If the device you're using does use a recovery ramdisk you can try booting the new version temporarily from fastboot and see if your internal storage shows up. See the how-to install custom recovery thread in the Q&A section of the forum.

That's a big jump. I'd back up your apps and data just incase and try. I've been dirty flashing since the summer (MIUI13 dev builds), but I don't think anyone else on here has been dirty flashing from as old of a rom as you have, or at least they haven't been reporting it on here.

Then try the Chinese rom and see if it works? That's how you'll find the answer. No one else is going to test it for you because it either A) Works for them already or B) We don't use those features or C) aren't on T-Mobile.

Disable dual apps and try a different location for the Secure Element Position -- usually you'll want HCE, but in my case I need SIM Wallet because I use Samsung Pay, but I'm pretty sure I've used Google Wallet with SIM Wallet selected as well in the past.

Likely not a bug -- My MVNO doesn't have 5G speeds either, but you can use their parent company's network at 5G signaling, just at 4G LTE speeds (aka they throttle it unless you pay more).

Because fastboot roms don't contain twrp. If there was a working recovery for that device compatible with that version at the time of release, then it would have been released as a recovery rom. Read the how-to for installing twrp in the Q&A section of this forum. All of the information you need...

Which TWRP version? Try turning off your pin lock in MIUI and check if you can see your partitions in recovery after that.

Now interestingly that doesn't work for me on this build, I tried that before I posted the edit. Haha. Going to uninstall the Sounds update and try it again. Edit: After removing the Sounds update from Google Play, I'm still unable to clear the Custom ringtones list without clearing Sounds...

Check your Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps -> Sounds, but there may not be a permissions menu in there because its a system app. I did notice mine has an update installed from the google play store installed all the way back in 2022/10/13. App version: 3.0(472386834)...
