I believe you ;) but I see your're on Stable, on Weekly the issue persists.

I suggest you to perform some other tests... I reinstalled full rom to have Miui Gallery v3.3.2 again, followed your steps and my result is that you can successfully delete some pictures but if you close the app (I mean also from the background) and you try again to delete some picture loop gets...

As far as I know it's not recommended to update system apps in this rom.

Yes and unfortunately a new bug appeared on his very last update; when trying to delete a picture from gallery, the deleting process goes loop... I hope in a "fix".

Tried to change the cable? I was having the same with one cable; "fast charge" was appearing but the charge was ssssslow. Changing it solved the problem here.
