Mi PC Suite is outdated software and doesn't work on latest rom or custom roms. Check your device manager in windows and maybe update the drivers for your device to get ADB working again. Note: - You can not use ADB in fastboot mode, just in case that is what your doing.

The recent button on your device, not the tab in the app!

Your confusing wiping just an Apps data, with wiping your data when flashing rom. Open the Phone app, click on recent button, pull app down, tap on "Info", then clear data!

@fast83 Then you have probably found a bug in the rom for that device, question mark is it the same for official rom? Nobody else has mention the "Mi Mix Pocket Mode" on google!
