It has been like that since the first release of MIUI 12. The proper behaviour is the app should be able to minimized in PiP form when swiping up to homescreen and Recents screen. Just tested the updated OpenGL & Vulkan drivers in my Mi 8 (dipper). The scores are pretty much the same before and after the driver update based on 3dMark app. No noticeable performance improvement either.

Haha this issue once happened in MIUI 11 beta and it was solved and now make its glorious return on MIUI 12. I guess we gotta wait for the fixes :D

No but I doesn't mean that, what I mean is in Second Space, the font weight settings didn't apply to the Second Space interface at all, therefore causing the font looks thin and barely readable.

This is referring to animation when you try to moving and opening the third party apps icon. You can see the content of an icon is little bit dynamic if turned on. I am using another font called Google Sans. Sorry if I am causing any confusion
