This is due to the 'Mount namespace separation' setting in SuperSU being turned on (by default). So, open SU, untick that option, reboot and try to restore your backups. cheers

It seems like this patch should work. But in my case, the battery life of my mi5 is great, so I would not like to sacrifice perfomance over a few minutes of extra battery time. So, if someone really needs more battery time, go ahead, try and report. ;)
