I actually removed them and my device didn't end in a bootloop... What I do is move the folders to another folder (wherever you like) and reboot: if something is wrong, you simply go to TWRP and move the folders back where they were... No need to reflash then. ;) Sent from my MI MAX using...

It IS locked, I flashed the EU rom by flashing TWRP via EDL. You say I can't stay this way anymore? All was good until now... and if I unlock, I'll lose everything...

I tried reflashing TWRP via MiFlash, but the same thing happens, Mi Logo flashes 0.5 seconds, and the screen goes off right after that. How can it be different charging it, since this morning was at 100%? I'll try anyway of course, thanks

Yes it does, Mi Max Pro 4/128 here, have an extra 128Gb microsd in the second slot, works perfectly. The only bug I have after this update is Android Wear crashing on every reboot, contacts crashing if I search one by pressing on the numbers and selecting it, and the Chinese untranslated app...

There's an install/root procedure even with bootloader locked... ;) Just take a look at Doomslayer topic! Anyway, the bootloader can ONLY be unlocked with a xiaomi official rom...

Hey man, I updated several times with weekly roms, and everytime I flash the rom zip, it reaches the 100% and reboots (without asking me to do so). The first time it did, I let it, and it actually did flash the rom, but its inconvenient (for me) because I'm used to flash the rom, SuperSU...

I would personally advise to get the weekly updates instead, because the stable version is still on MIUI 7... You lose A LOT of functionalities not being on MIUI 8. EDIT: sorry, I didn't realise they released MIUI 8 stable for our MiMax... XD Believe me, I've updated like 3 or 4 times everytime...
