Maybe the file got corrupted when MiPCSuite downloaded it. That's the reason why I posted to use MiFlash, because I had a similar problem when trying to flash with MiPCSuite. Give it a try, manually download the fastboot rom, extract it and use MiFlash instead.

Disable mobile and wifi connection. Clear the Themes app Data and Cache. And open the Themes app.

I'm on 5.12.24 and updated with Updater app (with clean cache marked). (Mi2s) Working fine, in a matter of fact, all the updates after 5.11.19 when the system partitons got merged went smooth and always using Updater app. Just found a single bug this week, led notification won't turn off...

Yup, it's the right place. I can confirm this bug too on mi2s, happened when using car Bluetooth with phone and disconnected the charger.

What evidences? Those two files mentioned are for adding your custom domains to whitelist or blacklist. And I haven't edited anything, stop assuming things from others, this is just rude.

Did you cook the rom without "Fast rom creation"? You can't enable it for updating with the updater app, because the rom need to be signed. Also don't forget to enable usb debugging (advice from original MiUi post regarding this update). Or you could first flash the rom with MiRecovery and...

Exactly! I already posted this, nice to see it worked for you too. For merging system partitions you all NEED TO UPDATE USING UPDATER APP. This should be fixed or highlighted somewhere.

Update using Updater app to merge partitions. Using MiRecovery it won't merge the partitions, tested by myself on mi2s. After flashing with Updater app you'll see the /system double it's capacity, it will be 1gb.

It's stable, but I haven't tested much, used for a week only. I would totally recommend it if you want to try something different, but with a similar feel as MiUi.

I've tested other versions, like 4.5.3.2 and 4.5.2.3 and installed with no problems using default Mi2s partitions. You just need to install the patch for merged partitions after the rom, otherwise you won't have access to your internal storage.

Check Gmail settings if you've the sync enabled and also add the Gmail to autostart on Security app.

I used MiRecovery and updated normally. Didn't had to wipe data, just cache as usual.

I'm not using the volume mod too, sound is perfectly fine and loud without it.
