It depends from your phone, os, treble or non treble device (check with Treble check app from play store). Follow the instructions on the thread - you can attempt a dirty flash with twrp. If sth is not working reflash your rom.

It depends which way you choose for installation. If you install the magisk module it will remain after update. If you use twrp zips you should flash them after rom update.

You shouldn't have problems - you can check with your carrier what frequencies does it use and compare it with phone specs.
