    MI 8 doesn't have issues with flashing Magisk 18.0 or 18.1. If it does you're using the wrong twrp.

    Was working until 9.3.14, broke and now 9.3.21 fixed it again on my MI 8. Also no issues with Google assistant on my MI 8. Haven't tested on mi pad 4 since it's still on 9.3.14

    I see. Yeah it also auto updated on my MI8 when I checked for updates after flashing 9.3.21.

    Yeah that's what I thought. I can't remember exact details but there were some issues related to the center clock mod in an earlier release thread. But outdated android webview apk also makes sense. :)

    Delete all app data then uninstall whatsapp and make a fresh install from playstore. Also make sure app data restore from google account is disabled.

    Weird, whatsapp reinstall fixed it on both 9.3.7 and 9.3.14 for me. Did you delete all app data before uninstalling ? You can just restore all message data from cloud anyways.
