Try turning off AOD, then disable and enable the "Show fingerprint icon when the screen is off" slider in the fingerprint unlock settings. I think the icon follows the AOD ambient display. Without AOD, the icon shows brightly. Attached are the images from my phone. Sorry for the image quality...

I noticed it occurs in only a few websites. To reproduce the feature, go to this link, https://www.androidauthority.com/best-xiaomi-phones-2-833837/amp/. It will keep the screen from sleeping even when you tap on back, as long as the tab is open.

If I am not mistaken, XiaomiTool is only for flashing fastboot ROMs that has a .tgz or .tar extension where you have to extract those files before flashing. Xiaomi.eu's ROMs have .zip extensions and are flashed using TWRP.
