    Ah, ok. As you said: you have to be careful. You have to be aware of the correct rights, type etc of the file afterwords etc. But yes - it should work.

    No. You need root to access system files. If you unroot via magisk unroot or similar build.prop is untouched. Only if you reflash the rom the file will be replaced.

    I'm using BuildProp Editor (JRummy) from Playstore. You have to be rooted. It can be done via adb too, but then you have to google for it.

    The solution came from @tsongming . you can find it in the thread of the last weekly. default mi8 display size: Build prop: "sys.display-size" set to "2248 * 1080 developer options change smallest width to 390

    Perfect on Mi 8 / dipper! Display size in build.prop is still wrong - bug fixed in seconds. I like the new calendar. It's better to read - especially in dark mode! Thanks guys!

    I'm not sure if this is related to the new security app. Cause the new feature is to control the access to private data. Besides this, your app was updated in April 2019 the last time. So it might be outdated for Android 10... Perhaps you can ask the developer if there is further development...

    I was reading it. One i made such scripts and I was really a pro. But at this point... What is confusing me since I have a Xiaomi device are the mount points. For example Orange Fox gives the advice to backup system and vendor *IMAGE* I don't understand completely how this partitions are used...

    Safetynet is fixed after flashing persist.img. Honestly I give a **** about high resolution streaming on a 6" device. :-) Great job - thanks guys.
