Update with magisk itself is no problem. You have to reflash it after every update. But some modules are causing problems. Afaik there is no listing which work and which not.

What do you expect from a post which is more than a year old? And why do you post in German? If you wanna root, simply flash latest Magisk via TWRP. Done. Find Magisk support on Magisk thread on XDA if needed.

That's exactly the reason why I gave you the advice. Everything is restored to stock conditions. If it works then, you can go on. If not - your hardware is the problem...

The sim lock would not break wifi. What I would do is flashing lastest fastboot rom via Miflash for cleaning up everything without relock. If it doesn't help - no idea.

Frankly I don't like this analogy. Because with a clean flash of your mobile phone you won't get rid of your partner. :-P

You are on xiaomi.eu stable? A upgrade should normally work like a charm. But you never know. stable and weekly are different projects. So make a backup and be prepared for a clean install - just in case... Or are you on Android 9 (Stock)? Then clean flash is mandatory.
