Have you tried to disable "Start in background" for those apps? These settings are in "Other permissions">"Permissions" tab, scroll to the bottom and disable every app but those you need

I think the answer is yes, haven`t tried it though It doesn't really matter if you update on 3.0.2-3 as latest weekly rom flashes twrp 3.1

Done, didn`t override, still disabled on latest after switch off on 7.2.24 BTW same on Mi4, disabled after switch off on earlier build

Thanks It was working fine on previous builds, maybe flash 7.3.2 or 7.2.24 would allow to turn it off and than flash again the latest build?

@graw2 I have annoying bug on my Mi5: Google spell checker cannot be disabled, the switch moves to off but when going back to settings it`s still enabled, entering the same setting reveals the switch moved back to on. Already tried cache/dalvik wipe with no success, any suggestion how to fix it...

That would require root access, wright? Anyway it feels disturbingly easy to remove the lock

IMO was better before, one could select different base level for auto, now only static level can be selected and auto is always on the algorithm`s discretion. It`s also a bit confusing: if you move the slider the level of brightness remains fixed but the switch is still in auto position, off/on...

As someone suggested if you`re sure it worked in MM try full wipe and flash MM build, if no GPS it`s probably HW fault

Mi5 3/64 No widgets problem(never disappeared), excellent GPS and performance The only issue I`m facing on last 2 weeklies is that some service within Android is keeping the device awake, this only happens after using Bluetooth, reboot fixes it until next Bluetooth switch on

Don`t know regarding stable but unfortunately this weekly has some android wakelock problem on Mi 5, up to 25% and more android battery drain because of that, reboot fixes it temporarily. Previous weekly had stellar battery

It`s not a problem but shouldn`t be enabled by default, when using non English languages the receiver sees many times empty messages and the sender is usually unaware

That`s strange, it works fine on all my Xiaomi phones, 2 of them are Mi4 LTE btw

As written in page 1: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img fastboot boot twrp.img No need for keys press, the rom should be on the device or can be transferred in twrp, flash it before reboot to system if on official in order to prevent twrp replacement
