i dont have any heat problem only the normal heat when you are using it for a long time. Ive just found a "bug" when you are on youtube with headsets with max volume the sound sometines freezes for a second and then works normal for a few minutes until other error...

i think you are talking about the unlocking the phone with your face.You can use this since 4.0 and its a google related function to have it you have to install a google apps package that contains it probably the bigger and you wont have enough storage to install it so you'll have to resize it...

im with your rom and your lastest kernel and i normally have 5 hours of screen...battery life is better but i think it can be better and android is faster than kitkat...i cant wait to test the first stable version:)
