    Fascinating enough I dirty flash on my Mi8 & everything works fine! The notification bar around the notch is a little weird but it's just cosmetic, nothing serious! Thank Xiaomi.eu's Team so much!!!

    Oh I can confirm there's this weird discoloration on the pictures/video when using footage/pictures to upload to Instagram (or Boomerang even)

    I flashed OpenGapps zip. Can confirm that it works. However no Google assistant. And the stock search app still persists.

    My Mi 8's Updater (8.8.9) doesn't show 8.8.16 as the latest. The last time it notified me about 8.8.9 Should I download & flash manually? Anyone with Mi 8 having problems?

    Na no factory reset needed, just a reboot. But that's quite bothersome, still.

    I had this exact error initially. Solution is format storage (that option with "Yes" in the wipe menu)
