How To Easily Install Twrp Recovery

To which recovery.img are you referring to? If it is TWRP, I have already tried to either "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" or boot directly in it with "fastboot boot twrp.img".

How To Easily Install Twrp Recovery

@nicoff nice guide, but I am having problems installing TWRP (and, consequently, a xiaomi.eu firmware). Specifically a week ago I got unlock authorizations for two phones, a Redmi Note 3 Pro and a Redmi Note 3. Things with Pro went perfectly, install dev version -> unlock -> flash twrp -> flash...

    Stable 7.1.3(kxdcnck) To 7.2.8.0(mxdcndb)

From the looks of it, the MM firmware has a much, much worse battery performance than the KK-ones, is that correct?

    Can't Enter In Recovery

I think I might have the same issue as you do on a RN3 16Gb: after unlocking, I flashed (via fastboot flash recovery) twrp. Rebooting with vol+/power though did not throw me into TWRP, but rather into the black and white phone sketch. After reading some other threads, I did the following...

    Updater App..how It Work?

There have been changes on the xiaomi.eu firmwares. They are uploaded for OTA download once a month. Most likely you'll be presented with the update option much later, but it will appear. As for why the package analysis fails, well I don't have an answer for that. Are you still with an unlocked...

    MULTI 6.3.24/25

Ok, this time it's hennesy (RN3) I'm having problems with. I've unlocked the BL ok, however I can't get TWRP to run, even though flash seems to go ok: > fastboot flash recovery twrp.img target reported max download size of 134217728 bytes sending 'recovery' (16376 KB)... OKAY [ 0.737s]...

I am sorry, what exactly do you mean? You are referring to TWRP, but it is not TWRP alone that is installed bur rather the complete firmware which includes TWRP, correct?

Reassuring reply from a firmware porter :D Thanks, just the information I was looking for :)

Thanks for the info. Now I found you, I have to (re-) ask: how does one flash the latest, Android 6.0-based stabled for cancro. Should one first flash to the intermediate devel release from December to unite the partitions and then the stable?

Any special configuration (apart from the included TWRP) to switch to this version? Are partitions mixed for example? Can one switch from a Xiaomi.eu stable to these versions?

    MULTI 6.3.24/25

From the fact that I have been trying for some hours to do it, I beg to differ :D Flashing the crack file in fastboot did the trick though, I was able to enter the phone just fine! The instructions in the OP do not help, since they do not identify the need for flashing this crack file. As for...

I believe the answer is on http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/xiaomi-eu-rom-for-redmi-note-3-kenzo.30482/#post-279815 which I quote here FYI: Nope, it's the Pro model with the Qualcomm. I will try the crack from the thread above and if everything works, perhaps @ingbrzy should modify the...

@the_maker / @ingbrzy : could it be that a boot_crack file is needed in order for the phone to boot succesfully, once TWRP is installed?

After your previous post I went ahead and miflash'ed the kenzo official developer fastboot. It did not lock the BL! But I did have to re-activate root access. The phone powers up now just fine (as it did before flashing twrp). At the moment I am waiting for the root-enabling reboot to finish...

    MULTI 6.3.24/25

I did install the xiaomi.eu firmware (see my post). But still it would not load. On the Greek xiaomi fan forum it is mentioned to not install TWRP but rather run it temporarily only, in order to be able to flash the Greek custom firmware. Should I try something similar?

    MULTI 6.3.24/25

Nothing helps :( I also "adb push"ed the xiaomi.eu kenzo firmware into sdcard and flashed it from twrp, same results... How should I proceed from here? Try to flash the official fastboot? Will it re-lock the bootloader?
