This is an upstream issue, it should be reported at Xiaomi, not here AFAIK.

Try to fastboot flash the latest official STABLE, and then flash the xiaomi.EU stable.

These phones are not intended to me. So my main goal is to have them operate as close to original as possible. In case something goes wrong, the technician that will handle them will have to deal with the usual MiRecovery. I know that TWRP is much more flexible and, in fact, I have it installed...

@ingbrzy / @Acid : Small bug on 5.10.16 / Redmi Note 2 (not the Prime). The screenshot is from the lock screen options screen. Phone was fully wiped just before 5.10.16 installation. Apologies, was under the impression that an English/Chinese MIUI7 was released for Note 2 as well.

As long as Greek support is so limited (font kerning the most obvious problem) from the official so-called "global" firmwares, I'll always stick with the xiaomi.eu ones...
