BTW, does anyone have a link to a pre-signage official fastboot image for Mi4c? It will be most appreciated. (For the record, I want to use it to install a xiaomi.eu firmware, without having to use TWRP).

If I understand correctly, and @ingbrzy can correct me in this one, if you had an older mirecovery, which did not require updates to be signed, then you can install xiaomi.eu firmwares and keep updating to newer xiaomi.eu firmwares, using either the updater, or mirecovery. If, however, you have...

No, if you update from a previous xiaomi.eu firmware.

This is an upstream issue, it should be reported at Xiaomi, not here AFAIK.

@ingbrzy / @Acid : I saw the message after trying to flash your firmware on a hermes with the new locked recovery. Instead of installing TWRP, can I install an older fastboot official developer hermes image and then install your own stable? Do you see any disadvantages with this method, like not...

Then you must translate it... And no Chinese store btw, only Google Play here. I might be going fast here, but some 10 hours ago I tried to check for update on a gucci model, but no MIUI7 firmware was offered for download. Uploaded manually at the end. Is it very early, or is there some sort...

@ingbrzy thanks for the fast response mate! And another one: will users of the latest MIUI6 xiaomi.eu firmwares be offered to update to 7 over OTA, or is a manual download and install the only possible way?

@ingbrzy Which would be your firmware recommendation for a very stable firmware on the (oldie) Redmi Note 3G (the MTK 8-core model) ? I have 2 friends "stuck" on MIUI5 V40 (IIRC) and I was wondering which version, if any, they could update to...

Try to fastboot flash the latest official STABLE, and then flash the xiaomi.EU stable.

@ingbrzy / @Acid : Can I flash a stable V7, over the last stable V6 provided by you? If so, do I have to wipe afterwards?

These phones are not intended to me. So my main goal is to have them operate as close to original as possible. In case something goes wrong, the technician that will handle them will have to deal with the usual MiRecovery. I know that TWRP is much more flexible and, in fact, I have it installed...

Thanks for the info. Problem is that I would like to avoid having a custom recovery. Is there any way I can do the same without flashing a custom recovery?

Any link/advice on enabling root access on one of the xiaomi.eu stable firmwares for Mi3? For example in the V6.6.4.0?

@ingbrzy / @Acid : Small bug on 5.10.16 / Redmi Note 2 (not the Prime). The screenshot is from the lock screen options screen. Phone was fully wiped just before 5.10.16 installation. Apologies, was under the impression that an English/Chinese MIUI7 was released for Note 2 as well.

As long as Greek support is so limited (font kerning the most obvious problem) from the official so-called "global" firmwares, I'll always stick with the xiaomi.eu ones...
