    Thanks Kater, It probably will work, but I avoid rooting as had issues with my bank app wireless payment. By the way, setting a built-in ringtone works, so I will choose from them.

    Same here on my Mi 5s, xiaomi.eu 6.12.29. I have xposed, but seems the issue is not related. Solved- seems that xposed was the issue for me - uninstalled and now all is OK.
