seems to me that your phone validate first your pswd (!) do check that you are connected to a valid wifi using pc and in chrome (or any browser) you can enter your mi account and login.

you don't need to remove them just disable each from apps management in settings. install google dialer, phone, messages + contacts and set them as default apps for dialer, phone, etc. should work w/o issues. it's cleaner this way and you can revert in case of any issues

use pattern instead of pin for lock screen and wait some time before the grid is activated (TWRP). it is also reported that pin should work as well on MI9T with official 3.4.0-0 TWRP.
