Because a TWRP image is bundled within the ROM, during the installation process it has to flash all the memory partitions with the respective images, recovery included. You should write ingbrzy asking him if the bundled image can be updated to 3.1.1-1.

You'll have to ask that on official en.miui forum, Xiaomi devs have to implement it in China ROM. Don't know how much time will that take though.

No, everything was fine on my side, never lost internet connection at all, neither on mobile or wifi networks. I do not own this phone anymore, so I'm unable to share logs with you:( ...though I've already confirmed all reported bugs on en.miui!

I've been using weeklies for quite some time, and even stable 9.1.2.0 for a while. They felt fine for me, though I've never tried ussd codes and youtube app. Everything else has been absolutely fine, never lost connection with my carrier. Haven't tested 7.11.23 as I don't have this phone...

Have you tried switching MIUI to english language? Sometimes FCs pops out after updates due to missing strings in language files, if the respective translation team didn't complete the new stuff in time.

You're right about this, but I think @zeork didn't want to offend anybody, he just expressed his opinion and maybe there was a wording mischoice due to language reasons (happens even to me sometimes).

Hello pals, I just wanted to notify you that black friday sales tricked me into buying a Mi MIX 2, therefore I'm selling my Mi 5c (gotta get some money back:D). Anyway, I'll not be able to test ROMs and bugs for this device anymore so I don't know how much I'll be able to keep this thread...

Have you tried erasing the userdata partition instead? Boot in fastboot mode and do "fastboot erase userdata", that should wipe everything, partition headers as well. Beware that this will erase all of your data. If that doesn't work I have another solution, but as it is a bit more "extreme"...

Mi Pad 2 has reached EOL as (from what I've understood) xiaomi.eu devs do not have enough time to support all these devices. Redmi Note 3 instead (HMNote3) should still be supported.

Guys may I ask you if we could keep track of how well your battery is doing under MIUI 9 (stable/weekly)? I think this could help lots of people deciding whether they should go for one or the other.
