Finally, I reverted to clockwork mod, always used to work, first time I tried it flashed instantly. So in short: Use updater to install dev Rom Use cwm to install smiui

I found that later and followed that exactly. It gives both errors I mentioned before. But I let it run even so. After 10 minutes or so it says, failed... When I reboot it stays black. So only option is then to restore.

Okay... flashify, twrp manager, rashr, all no dice. So I installed trwp by fastboot. -> Works Reverted to cmw by fastboot -> Works, and make another nandroid backup just to be sure. Installed trwp by fastboot again -> Made a trwp back up just to be sure. Used trwp to install miui dev rom (link...

And then using twrp to flash 'it couldn't mount system /dev ... Blabkabla But it seemed to go ahead "flash partition" or similar words. (Can't remember, couldn't screenshot it) But after 40 minutes nothing happening I aborted. Then a dead phone. Cool So I used trwp again to install cwm...

Okay, apparently merging partitions means in my case having 22GB in "system data".... how do I clean this, or at least see what is in there? I only have 5 Gb left now... I had about 15Gb left.

Can TRWP restore CWM backups? If no, whats the point. I cooked my onw roms without signature and that works. I just missed the one for 17th dec. Apparently I need that one, before moving to marshmellow. Nonetheless I tried installing trwp by flashify and trwp manager also, I keep recovering in...

I wanted to upgrade to 5.12.17 by using the link on the first page on my mi4 but it had the wrong signature? It says error cancro_aosp I remember I had it one time before, I since then use unsigned roms without issues. But how would I proceed now?

"Cleaner Bar, Battery and Blocklist" in notification drop down. Accidentily turned in on in "Cleaner" app. But there is no option to disable it . Only shows 'on'. How do I remove this? I hate this. I also looked in notification settings, but no.

Personally I disabled adblocks , like Sebsch kindly requested in order to be able to provide the website to begin with. No troubles here. If ppl are bothered by the ad things, can always fork, develop, maintain and run projects and websites yourselves? And I, and my friend, donated as well...

But I've never done that before. I never really noticed the ad blocking, just thought it was normal. Until previous week. I reflashed but no difference. Will try with this week's Rom, the unsigned version. Will post result. Edit: I noticed out I the phone is blocking at last some...

Don't be bothered Sebsch, not a big issue at all, very suitable solution, strange at most, but I would spare your time. :)

the user above was right, I have(!) to use the fast Rom creation in my case if I want to install smiui with cwm. If I don't use it, i.e. it's signed, then I get that weird error.

Okay, not sure but here's my deal: Mi4, running CMW. I want to run miui on sys1 and smiui and sys2 and be able to create nandroid backups. Now I cant flash roms anymore, not through CWM (not fast rom, not signed rom). It says: this package is for aries devices, this is a cancro (and then status...
