if you dont wipe while installing custom rom, the previous app will remain there. anyway, check whether it has been rooted or not. if it is rooted, you can delete any apps using previously mentioned application remover. just be careful.

what custom rom you are using now? if you are installing custom rom without wiping then probably some apps will still remain there. if your phone has been already rooted and really wish to remove these unused apps, try using system apps remover. but be careful not to delete important system apps.

as i remember, nothing comes near to AOSP regarding the battery life. this ROM is pretty similar to WIUI in terms of battery life. quite optimized, little battery drain, and smoother compared to MIUI/WIUI. the key advantage of this ROM is the gesture and some fancy widget (camera and music). but...

update: thanks, now my phone has been rooted. wonder why i haven't find this way that's very easy to root :) after rooting, i intend to remove some unused system app so that i can install gapps. i need gapps mainly to sync my contacts and other kind of syncing.

looks like you have using this rom for a while. i have also tried this rom and it is smoother than MIUI. the gesture features also become the key feature. hope MIUI V6 can optimize the performance since mi2s has great hardware.

i have some questions for you, since i have also tried on my mi2s - is it the latest version? - is it rooted? i cannot root my phone even using framaroot - since the size is very big compared other rom, is it possible to install Gapps? the remaining system size is only 6 MB.

What about other custom rom (not this rom)? Can you flash?if yes, then nothing wrong with your phone, but with the downloaded rom.

update: it seems the dev of colorOS has uploaded the correct ROM. previously after unzip it is 514 MB, clearly not fit on system (zipped 425 MB) now is 490 MB (zipped 388 MB) and i can install it with no error. EDIT: i have already installed with no errors. i will have some experience with it...

it seems the latest version size is larger than my current system partition, so it gives me status 7. compared to other custom ROM, this ROM has much larger size (425 MB-->latest) maybe thats why it always says not much space left for system. the dev should make more compact in terms of size...

after enabling TDB, how much we have for system partition, m1cha?
