hello from germany, too! regarding point 1: i cant give you an answer. using xiaomi.eu rom on all my Mi devices... but i think there is no big difference between the battery drain. 2: if you will have problems with your eu rom (i dont think this will happen) you can easily lock the bootloader...

yes, i did it exactly like this ended up with a bootloop into twrp... it was a completely new MI 9 without any data on it... try your luck :D

you could also simply connect it via usb to pc and open explorer to see files. there is no program like itunes needed.

simply use a FTP connection. go to file explorer and start ftp client. then u can connect the ip shown on your phone via windows 10 explorer like that: ftp://192.xxx.xx.xxx:2121/
