I was recently testing a number of custom roms. I had no trouble using AA with AOKP rom. Was 100% reliable, guidance and voice control worked fine. I could not stick with that rom due to root hiding issues with a couple of apps I have to use. So back to MIUI and back to non-working Android Auto...
Did a clean install (format) just to start fresh. Works well, noticeably faster, doesn't look too bad and the only bug I found so far is the notification issue on the lock screen that seems to be an issue across all devices not just the Note 2.
Mi Note 2: the Region information in Settings is inaccessible. Using search in Settings the link comes up but tapping it will just flick the screen but will not load the page. Otherwise so far so good, excellent work by the development team.
Official version 3.2.1-0: https://dl.twrp.me/scorpio/
I used this so it works. If you have errors, you are doing something wrong. Did you put the zip file in the root directory?
Same as the list already written up by Alexionis. I already had TWRP latest version and followed RFontes suggestion in post #18, but did not need a factory reset. I never encountered the problems some of the guys here faced.
Oreo got me to turn back on the "Find my device" settings at the first...
OMG... There is a download link for TWRP in the first post. The TWRP version designed for the Mi Note 2 and works with the Oreo update.
What more do you need???
