Latest Miui dev roms don't pass safetynet, even without anykind of root...

My Mi5 all works (at least everything I use), personally never had missing widged or GPS issues... but some have those issues.

Are you sure? Redmi 3S came from factory with Android 6.0.1... and is still on Android 6.0.1.

Just like in instructions... don't confuse ROOT with UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER. You get ROOT when and IF you flash SuperSU.zip after ROM or ROM update...

I sometimes install all at once, sometimes forget to install SU and install it after first boot... No difference no matter which way...

You use SuperSU - if Yes, there's your problem.

3.0.2-3 or 3.1.0 both ok

We all used 3.0.2-3... 3.1.0 just came out few days ago... Whichever, they are both for N... for updating follow the procedure from @ingbrzy first post in every weekly thread... Follow procedure for updating from Adroid 6 to 7 !

TWRP 3.1.0 is ok, when you install .eu rom, the rom has it's own twrp and will install it over yours, currently it has 3.0.2 twrp... You can than leave which twrp will be installed with new rom... developers include the right one in each rom... China roms (.eu rom is built on china rom) are...

It's not up to Android but MIUI to implement this.... My old Nexus 4 has split screen on Android 5.1 with unofficial ROM.

MIUI doesn't support split screen... Maybe in MIUI 9.
