    If you mean do you have to update to 2.24 - If 2.23 works OK for you, than no need to update... If you mean if you hava to be on 2.23 before updating to 2.24 - you don't.

    You don't need 2.23... just flash 2.24 - maybe corrupt download (try to download again, check MD5) - what error do you get?

    @sndpbbx and @Tribal Check with Kernel aditorium app it reads cores correctly (you need root). Or just test it with Antutu benchmark - if the score is good, than all cores are firing....

    On MI5 2.23 Google App on middle button long press worked... after updating to 2.24 it doesn't anymore... Also MIUI search app uses BAIDU insted of Google - but it will be fixed next week. EDIT: weirdly now it works again.... without doing anything

    No, just disable recomendations in app settings...

    Same on Mi5.... But just go to Download app => "3 dots" => Settings => Settings => DISABLE Recomended sources (or similar-i don't use eng. lang.)
