Yes. And with yours constructive answers you really benefit to community... I had RN2, RN3, RN4, and now have Max and no phone was s**t. After all, if you don't like Miui Eu, you have a lot of other Roms.... And plenty of other brands to buy....

After almost one week of use... Mi Max... Great battery, no bugs(my using). From MIUI to LineageOS and back no problem. Great Rom!

You need to unlock bootloader first. That is essential! Do it officially, you will make your life easier. Without unlocked bootloader don't try anything.

Flash SuperSu? Just flash it. Data has nothing to do with it.
